Ashley & Danny’s wedding was a bundle of heartfelt emotions, THE cutest details, & the sweetest theme. From the start of the day, I knew it was going to be a tear-jerker kind of wedding. Already looking gorgeous, Ashley slipped on her gown, and as her dad entered the room holding back his own tears behind the hugest smile, her face just lit up. A daddy’s girl myself, I was probably the first one to start the flow of tears, and in a room full of women…trust me, I was not the last! But as much as I love a father-daughter story, this day was for Ashley and the new man in her life. From their emotional first look (something I would recommend to all my brides), to the “laugh out loud” and “cry like a baby” ceremony, to the touching toasts and hilarious dancing, I was inspired by their love story (which is what I LOVE about shooting weddings). My other favorite thing about weddings? The details. And this wedding was full of some awesome ones! I am dying over the personalized hanger used to display Ashley’s dress and check out Danny’s cufflinks- so cute. The lovebirds theme was all around in subtle yet meaningful ways, but one thing that stood out the most to me was something much simpler- the use of photos in Ashley’s bouquet. She incorporated photos of her mother and grandmothers on their wedding days and pinned it to her bouquet. Ashley & Danny’s mothers also carried bouquets that included a photo of them holding Ashley/Danny as babies . I got a little twinge of emotion when I saw these- I only wish I had thought to do that in my own wedding so my “Papa”, who had recently passed away, could have been closer to me on that day. This was definitely an inspiring wedding for me and I hope it will be for you readers as well….

Shout out to Bill Quinn for asking me to shoot this gorgeous wedding with him!
